Starting in first grade, my dad and I went to the Ramsey Library every single school day when I was with him after school. We had our own routine. We would read books, practice telling time, and go over flash cards together. It was a group effort, as even my older brother Logan would help me at the Library.

In the middle of third grade, that stopped because of COVID, and we switched to homeschooling. As soon as the Ramsey Library opened again, we went back on the very first day.

Everyone at the library knows me! I’m on a first-name basis with a few of the staff like Maggie and Jeff. They’ve seen me grow up over the years.

I have an IEP in reading, which means I learn a little differently than some other kids. I do best when I can learn by doing things hands-on, and when I’m learning about things that really interest me.
